Happy Monday to everyone!
Lets take a look at this Roxy Quiksilver Watch. This is a clean watch with a great design. Being a surf company, Roxy makes watch for people on the go and this watch is no exception.
Silver tone with a white dial, this watch features a rotating bezel and a date function. It has a magnifier on the crystal for easier reading on the date.
Quiksilver was started in Australia in the late 1960’s. Quiksilver did its first licensing to the US in 1976 and is now based in Huntington Beach.
Very popular in the men’s surfing industry, Quiksilver expanded into the women’s side of things, introducing it’s Roxy line in 1990. At first a swimwear line, Roxy expanded into many other items. In 1996, Roxy debuted their first watches. If you are interested in learning more, here is a link to their about us page.
Although going through financial difficulties in recent years, Quiksilver and Roxy are still a brand of note. For anyone into surf culture this was the brand in the nineties and early 2000’s.
I for one like this watch. I really like the white dial with silver tone. Not being the one who wears these women’s watches, I often give my better half a handful of watches and ask her opinion on which to talk about that day. I appreciate her insights and it really helps when talking about watches I don’t wear.
Roxy still has new watches for sale with a few selections on their website and many on amazon. I found this particular watch (model RX1001) on ebay for around 25 dollars. Not a bad deal for a useful watch. The way I look at it, if a cool watch like this only sets you back 25 or so dollars, It leaves more money for more watches!
Until we meet again, have a great day.
